Room clean facilities good perfect location

Friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower good, plenty of hot water. Breakfast (continental) was good. Location perfect near the station and close to the high street. Highly recommend.

Cheap & cheerful for families

Would highly recommend to families wanting a cheap and cheerful base when visiting the North of Norfolk.
As a single mother of two boys , I felt very safe staying here.
Coded entry to front door (code changed on a daily basis), friendly and welcoming staff and the facilities, although basic, were clean and hygienic.
Venue itself is very central, few minutes walk to a large tesco, ATM and the train station. A beautiful high street leading down to the seafront which we walked every evening of our stage. Beautiful sunsets.
Couldn't fault our stay. Optional continental/cooked breakfast add on. We bought this for simplicity but there is also a well equipped and practical kitchen to prepare your own foods in if you wish. Food choice was ample and of decent quality.
Rooms are basic but we found it had everything we needed. Doors slamming yes can be heard but if guests have consideration for each other, there shouldn't be a problem. We were in a corridor with other families, away from the single sex rooms so we had similar family set ups staying near us.
Would highly recommend this venue and it has opened a door to future youth hostel experiences with me and my children as a budget way of seeing the county

Expensive and very noisy

Doors constantly slamming
Beds had thick winter duvet in summer
Bed mattress foam
Carpets smelt of toilet odour
Heard everyone walking in corridors and next rooms.
Dated and tired
Showers need tlc
Kitchen doors sticky (we avoided cooking)
Staff friendly
Free parking with enough spaces or park on street for free
Didn't have yha breakfast

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. I'm sorry to hear that we weren't up to the standard you should expect. We are addressing a number of your comments already, our fire doors are being adjusted and our showers are getting some tlc as we speak. Our duvets are of the standard all year round variety but you are welcome to request just a duvet cover if its too hot, just let us know at Reception. I'm sorry that there was a disappointment with soundproofing. Unfortunately as an old building that has been converted many times this can be an issue. We will take on board your comments regarding carpets & doors and will address that with the housekeeping team.
