A great all round hotel

Perfect location, clean hotel, staff very attentive, breakfast amazing with a great choice. I emailed ahead to discuss parking and was allocated a space, it made check in stress-free & quick

Location, Location, Location

The Elizabeth hotel is a grand old building on the esplanade that has been tastefully modernised. It not luxury but it is comfortable.
At times it can feel like cost has triumphed over quality like the cheap bed head lights. Also the the door and window to our Juliet balcony needed replacement.
One thing our room did have though from
The balcony was the best view in Sidmouth. Waking up in the morning throwing open the windows and being able to look up and down the promenade and out over the beach was invigorating. A room with a balcony or Juliet balcony is a must.
The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful, breakfasts were good. We had dinner one night the food was ok but like most hotels for dinner the place lacked atmosphere.
Parking is a problem. There is a small car park at the back but you need to book it with your hotel booking. It’s important to get in as parking elsewhere can be difficult as the official car parks fill up quickly.

Great experience.

Stayed here last week for 3 nights. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely large room with sea view and balcony. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. We didn’t eat in the hotel in the evening but we had a nice lunch one day. There were areas in the hotel that needed a touch of TLC/redecoration but this didn’t detract from our overall experience and we would certainly stay here again on future Sidmouth visits.

Fantastic Hotel in a Great Location

I had a wonderful stay at The Elizabeth Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and always happy to help, making me feel comfortable from check-in until departure.
The hotel was spotless throughout, with a clean, comfortable room that was well maintained every day. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the local area, restaurants and nearby attractions.
Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options to suit different tastes. Everything was well presented, and the breakfast staff provided excellent service.
Overall, I highly recommend The Elizabeth Hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with outstanding staff, a fantastic breakfast and an excellent location. I would definitely stay here again.

Room 22 all furniture had Formica edges peeling. Seagull mess on patio doors all week not cleaned.Shower over bath was almost non existent.Carpets stained and in need of a shampoo.Hotel was very hot no fans available.Breakfast £18 each I didn’t think was good value.Had to cut our break short by one day and no money offered back despite them being able to re let the room
