Consistently Great

Another fantastic and comfortable stay at Crossroads House. Bedrooms immaculate and breakfast to die for….Julie is just the nicest lady, so down to earth. Out go to when we stay over at the races ☺️

Good stop over

We stayed over on the 8th of august to break up a long drive to Scotland. It is an easy place to find with parking. There is no formal check in as the owners also own and run a pub down the road. The keys were in the door and the room was big enough for two adults and two kids. It had what we needed for a night, the room was warm and the beds were fine. The breakfast was perfectly fine. There are plenty of places to eat at night along with the owners pub and close proximity to Carlisle and the M6. For the price it was all fine and the owners were very pleasant and accommodating.

Lovely 2 night stay

Arrived at the B&B no trouble finding it with the details provided by Julie. Check-in was faultless.
Room was spotless, tea, coffee provided and milk in fridge on landing, very handy.
Breakfast was lovely, choice of cereals, cooked breakfast and toast, choose what you want. Jams also available and juices. All you can ask for.
Julie and Kerry really nice and helpful. Once new road is opened will be so easy to get to from junction 42 off the M6, but still easy now just a longer way round.
Close to Carlisle race course and easy drive from city centre.

Keep looking, you can do much better.

We didn’t enjoy our stay. The room was small with a poor layout. One of the twin beds had a terrible mattress. The shower was awkward and made terrible noises, the walls were paper thin and we had a hellish child next door jumping on the bed and playing noisy computer games while we were trying to sleep. The place was scruffy and in need of upgrading and then to finish it off there was only instant coffee at breakfast. In summary, ridiculously overpriced for what was provided. We would recommend avoiding and find somewhere else.

Fantastic week!

Had an absolutely fantastic week in the Crossroads. I was in Cumbria for work and Julie and the team were all incredible. The rooms were immaculate, the breakfast was amazing and the Greyhound Inn which they also run was a great evening.
The location made it extremely easy for me to get around and the drive and views make it very enjoyable!
