The staff were very friendly.Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
We ate at the hotel and our meals were excellent. Breakfast was also very good.
The bar and restaurant area was lovely.
Restaurant overlooks the rear garden too.

Room was dirty and in need of re-decoration. Weird arrangements for dinner. We requested a dinner time of 7.00pm, but were told there was only 6.30 or 7.30pm available. We chose 6.30pm and arrived at the restaurant on time. We were told to sit in the bar area and have a drink. The manager took our food order at 6.45pm. At 7.15pm I went to the bar to ask the manger why we had still not been seated in the dining area despite him telling us to arrive at 6.30pm. He said that diners were being seated in the order in which they arrived , and we would be seated when it was our turn. When I said that it was not acceptable to have to wait so long for food, the manager said he was on his own and doing his best. Not our problem. We were not impressed with his attitude. What a strange way to run a business.

Lovely location, room was a bit tired but clean. Immediate grounds needed a bit of attention and was overgrown in parts, but the wider surrounding area is beautiful. Waitress who served us for dinner was really friendly and breakfast was good. Would recommend as a place to stay but it could do with a bit of upgrading.

Booked through Hotels.com and there were some differences between the description on the Hotels.com site and the actual accommodation, Would recommend checking the property’s actual website to manage your expectations. Although this is a “lodge” the rooms are very similar to a hall of residence dormitory room - stark but functional. No hairdryers so take your own, Compact bathroom (no bath). Some ongoing upgrade work going on but there is a notice up apologising for the appearance in some areas, Grounds are pleasant (weather permitting). Windows in room can only be looked out of by standing up. Plenty of car parking spaces, wifi is patchy in rooms but worked well in the communal lounge.
Shower was very noisy but powerful and heated up quickly. Staff were friendly and made a lot of effort to be helpful, Good location for exploring the local area.

Staff were okay. Room was clean and comfortable. Didn't use the restaurant. Seemed like converted hotel. We had a normal room with view. Everything worked (hot water, outlets, etc.) Only stayed here on because convenient on our way to Isle of Skye. I would choose to stay here again if I had to redo.
