Good place to stay!

Stayed here for several days in September 2017. Quiet place. Run by two ladies [in between them they just about speak 10 words of English!], Lubov is especially nice.
Breakfast [at the giveaway price of 40 UAH!!] is freshly made [they do pretty good omelets]. No juices, no yoghurts on offer, mind you. Coffee is just so-so [weak expresso for example]. You can also sit outside [covered terrace].
I stayed in room number 2, which features a balcony.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the centre of the town [print a map of Uzhhorod from internet when still at home as there is not a single map to be found in town!]. City centre is quite nice, especially near the river embankements [see if you can spot the mini sculpture, one out of 26, of John Lennon!].
You can hire a pro local guide [Slava] with car from the hotel, he certainly knows his stuff, but again he speaks no English. Drives fast btw but still manages to avoid the large holes in the roads ))
Concluding, if I am ever back in Uzhhorod, I would stay at Mala Praha again for sure! For the price you pay at this mini- hotel, you won't find anything better in town...

The best budget stay in Uzhorod

We tried more hotels and hostels in Uzhorod but this stay was the best. Very quiet surrounding and wonderful staff. For the price you pay, it is brillant deal. Good breakfast offer. Close to the city center, 10 minutes walk.

Best choice in the city

Close to the city center but far from the railway station. Even though you always can get there by a direct bus. Very tasty breakfasts and prices are reasonable.
The stuff is great! The rooms were tidy and clean.
The best variant when you are the company of 4-5 people, then you will have a shared bathroom and sauna only for you)

A cheap hotel that is clean at a good location.

We stayed here one night in January. The girl at the reception spoke very good English and was very nice. Our room was warm and quite good, even though there were no reading lamps by the bed. The TV was very small, but the room was not bad at all considering how little we paid for it. The bathroom was very cold though, but it was big and clean.
At night the hotel locks the gates and there is no bell. We had asked about it and got the telephone number so we were let in when we arrived. Other guests didn't seem to know about it and were shaking the gates until they were let in, which was a bit annoying since it was right outside our room. Otherwise the street where the hotel is situated is very quiet and nice, and it is about 15 minutes walk to the centre of Uzhhorod.
Breakfast was ok, and the small restaurant/cafe where it is served is nice with a fireplace. The restaurant was however closed when we arrived at 9 pm so we had to go looking in town for somewhere to eat.

Budget friendly

If you are looking for something budget to overnight - thats the place. Mind that you will share toilet and shower with someone next door. Located in the suburbs, but still it takes not long to get to the center. There is free wifi in the hall. Also you can order there nice national food and enjoy it sitting at the fireplace. If you plan to get back late night, dont forget to take the owner's cell phone number, cause every door will be closed)
