Nice hotel in an excellent location. Close to Punta Carreta Shopping mall and to excellent restaurants. Across the street from the water and Montevideo's famous Rambla. Don't disagree with those who say they could use some updating, but i found it a clean with great service. Would stay here again.

Reservation Not Honoured
I made two reservations directly through the official Accor platform under clearly stated conditions: guaranteed with a valid credit card and free cancellation up to one day before arrival.
Months after the reservations were confirmed, the hotel unilaterally changed the conditions and demanded that I provide my full credit card number and security code (CVC) via email or an unsecured form, threatening to cancel the reservations otherwise. This requirement was never part of the original booking terms, and they were asking me to do this 7 months ahead of my stay.
For security reasons, I refused to send sensitive financial information through e-mail. Despite this, the hotel insisted and conditioned the validity of my reservations on complying with this request, citing a major event in the city (Libertadores).
This seemed to be about money, as hotel prices increased dramatically after the announcement of the Libertadores final in the city.
This is completely unacceptable. As a platinum member of Accor Club I felt so disrespected and I am certainly not renewing any signature anymore. I even complained directly with accor and despite vague answers for my query in relation to the original conditions; nothing was really done.
In the end, they cancelled my reservations.
Very bad experience. No transparency and no respect for the customer. I do not recommend this hotel.

Hice dos reservas directamente a través de la plataforma oficial de Accor, con condiciones claras: garantizadas con una tarjeta válida y cancelación gratuita hasta un día antes de la llegada.
Meses después de confirmadas, el hotel cambió las condiciones de forma unilateral y me exigió enviar el número completo de mi tarjeta y el código de seguridad (CVC) por correo electrónico o en un formulario no seguro, amenazando con cancelar las reservas. Esto nunca formó parte de las condiciones originales, y además me lo pedían con 7 meses de anticipación.
Por motivos de seguridad, me negué a enviar información financiera sensible por email. Aun así, el hotel insistió y condicionó la validez de mis reservas a que aceptara, usando como excusa un evento en la ciudad (Libertadores).
Esto parece tratarse de dinero, ya que los precios de los hoteles aumentaron drásticamente después del anuncio de la final de la Libertadores en la ciudad.
Esto es completamente inaceptable. Como miembro Platinum del programa de Accor, me sentí totalmente irrespetada y no tengo intención de renovar ninguna suscripción. Incluso reclamé directamente a Accor y, a pesar de respuestas vagas sobre las condiciones originales, no hicieron nada.
Al final, cancelaron mis reservas.
Muy mala experiencia. Cero transparencia y cero respeto por el cliente. No recomiendo este hotel.

Where to begin… the staff, especially the young man that spoke English well was super helpful and nice. We booked a room on hotels.com and we’re only looking for places that included breakfast. When we were checking in, we were told that breakfast was not included and we showed the person the website that stated all rooms included breakfast, since nothing was mentioned on the reservation. He took a photo of the info we provided. The following morning we had breakfast and it included eggs cooked the way you wanted along with breads and fruits. it was pretty good. When leaving the manager called us over and said it wasn’t included and that we will have to pay approx $20 per person. After going back and forth with him, he agreed to comp it, but we would be charge all subsequent breakfasts. Well that was the last time we ate there. We were able to dine elsewhere for less. The other major issue we had was with the room. Be aware of the listed square feet of the room. We were really surprised how tiny the room was. Thay we can deal with, the issue was with cleanliness. Someone last year posted pics of mold, thuck dust with hair and filthy showers, well thay must have been the room ww received, because it looked the same but worse. The hotel needs to update towels and sheets, everything was a dingy brown and should have been white. Wifi was fine.

cramped aging room poorly maintained ,hotel to renovate , cleaning was not done in the bathroom , curtain room shower tray blackened by time
The manager tried to improve our stay in vain he could not redo the hotel!!!
Apart from it the staff is only Spanish-speaking
No understanding of the Accor group when we return to the state of the hotel, the customer complaint service is also disastrous (without customer sense) which is very embarrassing when we have been Accor members for years ...

Uncomfortable beds and untrue information! I do not recommend the stay.
The hotel offers pretty uncomfortable beds and pillows. The cleanliness of the room and precarious! The site claims to have an academy that doesn't exist: today, the academy is a space of straw.
