Luxury of time and place
A very special place, like a moment in time. We had come off a yacht, got a bus, not really knowing what to expect. We were overwhelmed with the hospitality, surroundings, Eton reef is magic, full of fish, life, I even ate sea grapes off the reef that reminded me of my time working in the pacific in 5 star hotels. The food cooked by Marcus and Stoney was so impressive we would go back just for that. A beautiful space, surroundings, hospitality unrivalled by our many Hotel stays.

Warm hospitality at its best !!!
This is a truly magical spot for those who like a tranquil secluded beautiful tropical paradise. Papaya Villa owners and hosts, Stoney and Marcus, are the ultimate hospitality professionals looking after their guests every need, yet leaving enough space for comfortable privacy. It is indeed an art to make guests feel truly welcome into their special home, it is perfectly set up with a separate guest house with its own large veranda living space. With full access to the garden which is leading onto the most beautiful beaches with its many swimming spots, including a full 60 meter long natural pool.
We stayed here for a week, and spent most of our time on one of the private natural beaches adjourning the property. For couples and beach lovers this is paradise.
The Food (!) is AMAZING at Papaya Villa, Stoney does the most lovely breakfast each morning, as well as lunches when required - all super delicious. But then...DINNERS are the true highlights of each day (we had all our 7 dinners here) with a true gastronomic journey around the world, all cooked up by masterchef Marcus. Any foodie will be really happy here, and does not need to go out searching for other restaurants on the island.

Magical
I’ve been back home now for a week and already planning my next visit to Papaya Villa. This trip was my second visit and it was so lovely to be greeted like an old friend by the hosts. Marcus and Stoney were so kind, welcoming and seem genuinely delighted to share this wonderful experience with their guests. Incredible foods, wonderful company and beautiful accommodations- they have genuinely thought of everything. The location is incredible, peaceful, secluded- no hordes of people jockeying for space on the beaches. Snorkelling was amazing- the big lagoon is good but the channel right out front of the property was the best- thigh high water and snorkelling right off the beach seeing clownfish and every kind of tropical fish I could imagine.
Marcus and Stoney, thank you for sharing your home and your time and this beautiful part of the world with me, you have created something truly special and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to experience it again with you, and with Dora and little Benny.

My dream beach room
Lovely place. I was so excited to go after all the pictures and YouTube videos of papaya Villa and it didn't disappoint. Everything has been made to make you feel like the luckiest people on earth. You have to do the diner, the food is fresh and amazing. Our flight was cancelled and we thought we will have to stay longer (I wish you could) but needed to go. We just loved it and as foodies we recommend the dinner.

"Papaya Nightmare & Cold Chills Villa"
I didn't find the Owners very fair, The female owner didn't wait to clean and sweep until I went out for the day mentionable why, this also made me feel uncomfortable to be on a relaxing holiday where I could walk and move freely in the accommodation. Apparently they couldn't just leave things alone and the owners house was right on the door step. I was under the impression I would be in a Villa by their advertised photoshoot showing the Villa views out at the ocean this was very misleading at $220 nightly.
The Papaya was in an estate that had for sale signs showing up out front which made it very difficult to find and i lost 1 night stay, owners wouldn't add to the booking site, and no directions either so I had to ask locals where Papaya Villa was located and No locals new where.
After missing a nights booking of my 3 days, they also asked questions intimidating my guest out of staying a Local Ni van, but also stated that their dog didn't like people of Vanuatu origin which my guest promptly left after the interrogation & meal finished.
Only superior guests were favored.
The owner the following afternoon had shortened my stay by 4pm, and charge me for the extra evening on my Credit card because
I lost my hand bag and asked whether I could purchase some cash via my Mastercard he ordered me out & to take my bags & leave ( Male owner) (No banks available, I was all alone in this remote area, I felt unsafe ,No money & no vehicle & had to organize my luggage when l knew where I was staying to be delivered. Female Owner felt guilty so wouldn't talk or exit the car to discuss costs. Very shocked & bewildered by the whole booking, totally ruined, unhappy holiday stay, ( - 10 out of 3 stars)
