What happened to what was my favorite hotel in Valencia?
It was the hotel of choice for me when I worked in Valencia in medium stays, The reservation was made by whatsapp, I arrived on 20/09/2024 at 11:30pm but at no time I was informed that the payment on arrival should be in dollars cash or mobile payment because (according to the lad at the reception I had for that time 3 years) they have never had a point of sale, therefore it cannot be paid by National or International Credit Card. After discussions with his supervisor, he telephoned me lastly to pay for Zelle, but there was no announcement at the reception about that possibility, and the Zelle data corresponds to a Natural person. At reception the boy warned me that the WIFI only worked in the Hotel Lobbie and that there was no Shampoo for bathing.
I went up to the 3rd floor by the only a functional elevator smelling of moisture and with the floor dirty with dust. The hallway of the floor was very bad lit, in fact it was a little scary. I arrived at the room had split the internal safe and I did not find it relevant to check the room and bathroom, therefore I went downstairs to ask for another room. According to the reception boy it was the only one of that fare I could offer or else it was, one of greater value. I respectfully appealed to his common sense and made the change without paying anything extra.
Then I went up to the third floor and went to the new room and found the bathroom and the furniture full of dust both the countertops and the pool, in the bathroom in particular with a water well near the drain, the hot water did not work, so I had to bathe with cold water. Unfortunately I hadn’t carried any cholas, and I did this barefoot, however later my feet started to itch, as I saw that the floor had a lot of chlorine or ammonia. I used the body cream (if any) to suck my feet where itchy and lay on the bed to try to fall asleep. I turned on the TV that had the screen totally stained and therefore very poor image quality.
At approximately 7 am I woke up smelling smoke from some other room being that Venezuelan law prohibits smoking in the rooms. I had the body, clothes and briefcase scented, so I turned off the air and tried to open the window (only a very small window can be opened and for very little space) so that the room could be ventilated. I bathed again by placing towels on the floor to not live the same experience, got dressed or left.

Cabe destacar que la atención del personal es de primera.
Sin embargo, el último día, que mi esposa dispuso para quedarnos en la piscina, cuando bajamos a las instalaciones nos encontramos con una especie de fiesta rave decadente, con muchachos paseando por todas las instalaciones en ropa interior. Nosotros condenamos el que no nos hayan notificado, lo que nos hubiera evitado la molestia, que llegó al extremo de que el escolta de la fiesta me prohibió durante unos minutos el ingreso al hotel, inclusive pese a la explicación de que mi esposa y mi niña estaban en la caja esperando la facturación.
De verdad no volvería y mucho menos lo recomiendo.
