Location Looking for a place to spend a night after a long walk around the city? Hotel «Bao An Hotel Ninh Binh» is located in Hoa Lu. This hotel is located 1 km from the city center.At the hotel Spend an evening in a nice atmosphere of the bar. In the shared kitchen, you can cook anything you want. Accessible for guests with disabilities: the elevator helps them to go to the highest floors. At the guests’ disposal, there’s also dry cleaning, ironing and a concierge.

Much Better than Easy Tiger Hostel
DIrectly across the street is a place called VAN ANH HOTEL. I went in to ask how much a private room for 3 would be and was shown a great room, one double bed, on single, A/C unit that we control, and bathroom with hot water and great water pressure.
The cost of the room is 250.000 VND a night (the room, not per person) compared to 160.000 VND for a bed in Easy Tiger. When we checked out of Easy Tiger Tom asked where we were going and why. I said we found a much more affordable accommodation and he warned about theft. This place is run by a family who is incredibly hospitable and friendly. We never had a worry when we go out exploring the national park all day.
A perk, for me at least, is you can borrow buckets and do your own laundry. Most places we've staying in Vietnam only allow you to pay them 20-30.000 VND a kilo for laundry.
I would HIGHLY recommend this place. They also rent and clean bikes, charge batteries for your moto, and sell beer. The bottom floor has Karaoke, but nothing that goes long way into the night. At least not the 3 nights that we have been here.
