All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, love the overall design and setting in the hillsides. The restaurant food was delicious and services was great. We enjoy the peaceful and comfort of our room with the balcony. Getting away from all the heavy traffic and congestion was our main goal with this place. Would highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay at La Yen Retreat. Staff were very friendly and responsive, the breakfast was basic but good, the room was spacious and clean and the location was quiet with nice views out the large windows. Would recommend.

Thoughtful details like selective collection of scented shower amenities. Attentive and polite staff. However, sound-proofing wasn't great when families with kids traveling on the holiday weekend and disrupting the peace of the entire building.

Stay in Da lat

Nice room. Some kind of hard bed. Impossible to get an orderly hot bath. The hot water disappeared all the time.
No air conditioning. In the evening/night it was cold, but as soon as the sun rose up on our windows in the morning it was very hot in the room.
The hotel was almost empty, so they didn't make the moegenmads buffet. The first morning we could only get traditional nut soup, coffee, juice and some fruit. The next few days there was a choice between a traditional Vietnamese dish or mirroring with bread (plus coffee, juice and some fruit).
Based on photos and location the hotel is sold as very idyllic, but there are more or less all day dogs that do (especially in the evening and at night) and it is hardly as good a location for dining options.
Most of the staff are hardly as good in English, but we could notice they tried their best.
The hotel was not expensive, but we felt sold for a slightly different hotel experience through pictures and description.
