The perfect experience in a historic building

The hotel is located in an old historic building, decorated in style and with a wide variety of breakfasts. The front desk Hoang brother was very warm, although the booking was wrong, but helped us to coordinate the twin bed in time - before leaving the luggage brother and colleagues also helped us communicate with the limousine vehicle driver, to help us get on the bus. Looking forward to coming back again!

A real gem!

This has to be the most welcoming and service oriented hotel we have ever stayed in. We arrived early before check in time and they gladly stored our luggage for us, gave us complimentary drinks (the cumquat and ginger tea is amazing!) and recommended a fantastic local seafood restaurant for us to have lunch while they prepared our room. Our room was super comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a great spot for a walk around town to see the gorgeous architecture and parks and to eat local food. Breakfast at the hotel was terrific, with a terrific array of food on the buffet and excellent service with staff on hand offering to make eggs and refilling food as soon as it looked like running low. All of the staff were generous with their time talking to us and answering questions, especially Toan and Van Anh (sorry that we didn’t get everyone’s names!) We would gladly recommend it and hope to stay here again.

The hotel is close to the popular city center while located in a quiet place. The welcome drink was great. Service provided by the front desk was also nice.

An Average Hotel - needs renovation

We have to be honest, this hotel is very tired and in urgent need of renovation. We followed recent TripAdvisor 5 star reviews, and we cannot understand how it was rated so high. Having stayed on 2 occasions, for 2 nights and then for 1 night, pre and post our Ha Long Bay cruise, in different rooms on different floors, the same issues are apparent. It would have been a great hotel in it's day.
External presentation is just ok. In need of a repaint and tidy up. Similarly, on the 3 accommodation levels.
- Carpet in the hallways is filthy
- vinyl flooring in some rooms is peeling up and needs replacing
- mould spores growing out of cracks in hallway walls
- beds ok, linen clean, towels ok
- in room safe not bolted down
Room furnishings and decor are good but some items a bit tired.

This hotel good breakfast with something roll and soup also good .
This hotel a little bit traffic jam in the evening.
