Recommended but not if your working while traveling
We stayed here from July 25 until the evening of July 30. I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel, and our room was spacious and comfortable.
The shower and toilet were in separate areas, but this was actually a little inconvenient for us. There was not enough space inside the shower area to hang clothes without getting them wet, so after showering, we still had to move to the toilet area to get dressed because it had more dry space and places to hang our things.
There were also a few design issues in the bathroom. The sink faucet had very strong water pressure, so every time we washed our hands or face, water splashed everywhere and we ended up getting our clothes wet. The shelf for the shampoo and conditioner was uneven, so the bottles kept falling. The shower also did not get warm enough, which made it difficult when we wanted a hot shower. In addition, the shower hose and bidet hose were quite thick and stiff, making them awkward to pick up, use, and put back in place.
The air conditioner did not cool the room properly, which probably explains why an electric fan was provided. Thankfully, the room was comfortable once the fan was turned on. The room also had a refrigerator and a drying rack, and I was happy that our clothes dried quickly.
Housekeeping cleaned the room every day and regularly replaced the towels and bottled water. The staff were also kind and helpful throughout our stay.
Breakfast was included, and we enjoyed the food. However, if you are staying for several days, the selection can become repetitive because the menu does not seem to change much.
The location was convenient and close to many places.
The biggest downside was the Wi-Fi. We were working while traveling, so having a stable internet connection was essential. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi frequently became weak and unreliable. During work meetings, I often had to switch to my phone's mobile hotspot just to stay connected. If you're planning to work remotely during your stay, this is definitely something to keep in mind.
Overall, the room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the daily housekeeping was excellent. With some improvements to the bathroom design, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi, the stay would have been even better.

Very decent. Hospitable Staff.
While the location requires a little more walks compared to the other hotels in the Old Quarter, I would still give this very decent hotel a 5-star rating. Here's why:
1. The Receptionists Trixie and Quan are very patient and accommodating in answering all our questions. When they heard that we're going to Sapa for our next trip, they spent time and gave us recommendations of what to do and where to go. They even chatted with us and checked if everything is fine with our stay in the room and in Hanoi.
2. Breakfast is superb at its price point. A 3-star property with the most sumptuous and "Ngon" spread of breakfast selections: Fried egg, sausage, fried rice, stir fried noodles, hot items, coffee and tea, pancakes, vegetarian option and bread. "Ngon" means delicious in their local language.
3. Room is tidy with coffee and tea maker, mini fridge and complete with shampoo and shower gel. They even provide slippers. All the equipment and lights are working fine.
We will definitely come back!!!

Very disappointing stay at Hanoi Calido Hotel. The bathroom was in poor condition, with a leaking sink that kept flooding the floor, along with visible dirt, stains, and worn fixtures. The room itself was not well maintained; throw pillows smelled like sweat and the chair upholstery was torn. Overall cleanliness and upkeep were far below expectations, and I would not recommend staying here unless major improvements are made.

I am very satisfied with the service attitude and professionalism of the hotel. The staff are friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. The room is clean. I will stay here more often during my business trips in Vietnam.

Hanoi visit
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and overall it was a good experience. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and comfortable, making the stay relaxing. The staff was courteous, cooperative, and always ready to help whenever required. The location of the hotel is convenient and easily accessible, which makes it suitable for both business and leisure travelers. The food quality was good and offered decent variety.
