Wonderful stay in Ha Giang

We booked our stay at the hotel through the Vietnam Original Travel agency because we also hired two days of guided trecking through the rice paddies in the area. The experience could not be better. The environment and landscape are already spectacular, visiting it during harvest time was certainly a success but the exclusivity that this site gives you to spend a few days without crowds and at peace with nature, the environment and the people who live there is something that is very grateful. The staff is lovely and very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. The terrace with its spectacular views and the natural pool that they have for after the hike comes great.
I would personally highlight from this site your respect for the environment.

Beautiful views and amazing locals!

This was a once in a lifetime experience. The cabin we stayed at was amazing! We had our own bathroom, shower and a beautiful view of the rice fields. I can highly recommend the 3 days and 2 nights trip. We arrived during lunchtime and were greeted with nothing but amazing and kind people. The children were adorable (they love it if you bring small gifts for them) and the staff were always helpful. The food we ate was very good and of typical vietnamese cuisine. The trekking was very light. We walked on nice paths the whole way around 14km (and ca. 400m upwards). We experienced beautiful rice fields and mountains in the Ha giang region. I recommend going in May because we were the only people on the lkdge at the time and it was at the start of the seeding prosess. This meant that we saw many locals doing their day to day work witch was very interesting. The rice fields are green at this point, but becomes golden later in the year. There are many insects in the cabins, especially at night, but you are provided with a net over the bed.

Very nice

We stayed two nights at Hoang su phi lodge. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. They cooked delicious Vietnamese food for us. They also organised a 14 km hiking trip with an English-speaking guide in the beautiful rice and tea fields. This was a great and memorable stay.

Superb location , poor service.

We stayed two nights in a private bungalow at the Hoang Su Phi Lodge. The accommodation was quite basic but the location was superb and very convenient for hiking in the beautiful terrain around, all the rice fields and mountains. Breakfast was ok on the first morning when there was a large French group staying but disastrous the second day after they had checked out. - it really was a case of fending for yourselves!! Thanks to our guide he was able to conjure up a couple of eggs and a bit of fruit! It was very cold when we arrived but at least the hotel did give us a heater to try and warm our room.
