INCREDIBLE breakfast buffet!

I was not expecting such a high level of hospitality! This property doesn't seem to obviously market itself as a 5-Star luxury hotel, so although I was expecting it to be nice, I wasn't prepared to be blown away, which I absolutely was. Hospitality was consistently warm and enthusiastic. My corner room was beautiful and extremely comfortable, with wrap around views and a perfect bed in which I had a beautiful, deep night's sleep.
Breakfast was FANTASTIC. Not only was it very varied with Vietnamese and Western fare as is expected, but every dish I tried was delicious! This is extremely rare for breakfast buffets of any caliber because the chefs have to prepare so many different kinds of dishes and inevitably cannot make everything perfect, but the chefs at La Vela Hue come shockingly close! This was easily one of the best breakfast buffets I've had in any hotel. And the breakfast staff were all smiles despite the chaos and crush of guests. Their warmth made my morning.
I will absolutely be coming back to this wonderful hotel next time I'm in Hue.

Two nights in Hue to see the sites

2 nights in Hue, rooms clean and tidy. The bed was comfy and the view out the window across the city was pretty cool. The pool area needs some Lots of tiles were missing and I actually felt the pool temperature was far too cold despite the weather being super hot great selection at breakfast. The hotel is located just outside the CBD a quick grab and you are in the city within 10 minutes limited food options in and around thehotel but if you are okay to catch a Grab into the city or across the road to the mall and then it’s pretty good.

Great help and excellent service from lobby staffs, Ann (Diem) and Chloe (Huong)

I am tour leader，on the evening of July 1, 2026, after checking into the LA VELA HOTEL & RESORT HUE, one of my group members had a problem with the air conditioning temperature control in the room inside. I asked the lobby staff, Ann (Diem) and Chloe (Huong) ,to help send technicians to check and solve the issue. After the problem was resolved, the guests was still insisted to changing rooms as they were worried that the A/C issue happened again probably in the middle of the night. Ann (Diem) and Chloe (Huong) give me a big favor immediately to change another room for my group member. Therefore, I really appreciate and many thanks to Ann (Diem) and Chloe (Huong) for great help and excellent service for me. Thanks again!

Superb view

The charm of this hotel is its view from the room but especially from the roof terrace and pool!!
The staff was very professional and pleasant, at the front desk, at the bar and at the restaurant for breakfast.
The room was spacious, the bed huge and comfortable, everything was clean and upscale.
The location is disappointing, however, far from the city center of Hue 4km with major roads to get there (use of Grab to plan to go out), no restaurant, nor any place of interest in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
