Huge disappointment
We had planned 2 nights in Mai Châu for some rest in the middle of our trip, but it did not go at all as planned. Upon entering the room, we notice big wet stains on the walls, the bathroom is old and the neighbors above have a view directly on our shower. I check our reservation and realize that we have not booked this room at all. We notice that the hotel is divided into two parts: an older and poorly maintained part by the pool, and a more modern one next to the restaurant. I point out the mistake to the staff, we are told that we have changed rooms because there is an evening at the restaurant that same evening, and that it will be noisy. Why didn't you tell us then? The staff tells us we can change rooms the next day.
That same evening, we find ourselves in the middle of a team building in the hotel restaurant. There was noise until late, even on the side of our room pool side. The next day we want to enjoy the pool but all the deckchairs are extremely dirty, and the pool water too.
The lack of maintenance is glaring, it looks like we are in an abandoned place. We can then actually change rooms, but we are not given the one we had booked. We are told that there is work upstairs, and we are given a room downstairs. (Yet we did not see any work, why refuse so much to give us the room we had booked?) At the time of the change, the one who seems to be the boss tells us that they gave us the other room so that we could be near the pool: why give us different explanations each time?
During the day, there is only one person to take care of the hotel and the restaurant: unfortunately they serve us the wrong drinks, and we can only order simple dishes because they can not cook the rest. Anyway, the restaurant is not one.
What more to say: standing water in the kettle of the second chamber, curtains that let through the light. Nothing was relaxing during this stay. This property is not a resort: it is the worst Price quality ratio we have experienced in Vietnam.

Picture Perfect
The rooms were comfortable,great balcony to a beautiful view.
Staff were so friendly and helpful.Bikes available but scooter is alot easier to get around.
Pool was a welcome relief in the 38 degree heat.
Would definitely stay here again
