Good stopover hotel

Hotel with views of the river and the surrounding area.
The room is clean but smells of humidity when you come home. There are all the features but the cups and sub-cups offered for drinking in the room were dirty.
Very good breakfast in a nice room.
Very efficient staff.

A nice hotel on the river

I got placed here by the tour company. It's a good placement. The hotel is on the south end of town not far from Rt. 1 on the river. This quiet town is so special. The hotel isn't busy and the staff is very nice and speaks understandable English. I was assigned to a north facing room that had a great view. however, I wanted the river view which they charged USD 5 more for and warned me it would be hot. It was, but by the time I got in for the day it was comfortable and the river view was great as was the morning sunrise. The room clean with all of the amenities needed. The morning breakfast was a bit more catered to a Chinese breakfast than Western, but not bad.

Kon Tum Mistake

Booked in for a two night stay in a King Room and was put into room 703, the top floor. When we arrived, the room was hot (the sun was beating in the window) and the room smelt like a sewer. Limited cleaning had been done. The balcony door was locked and there was no WiFi. We cranked the air conditioner, went to Reception to get the WiFi sorted and complain about the smell. No satisfaction. A couple of calls and a couple of hours later, the WiFi started working. The balcony door was not able to be unlocked. The drain for the shower is under the vanity on the opposite side of the bathroom - a flood evertime. The next day we went out, left the exhaust fan and air conditioner running. On our return, the room smell just the same. Enough. Asked to speak to the Manager - not available. Elevated the complaint and were given room 705 - no smell. Elevated the complaint regarding access to the balcony - housekeeping came and said No. More complaints to Reception and housekeeping came with a key. Simply just not good enough.

Terrible Stay Here!!

The room was a disgrace!
There were insects in the room which crawled into our gear. Into our helmets too! The room was dirty and when I went to talk to the girl at reception about it, she found it amusing that there was insects in our stuff!
The breakfast was mediocre and the restaurant was not open, even though it said on booking.com that it had a restaurant.
It was also very overpriced and shouldn't be given the condition of the hotel and the poor quality of service.
Between the insects, the attitude of the staff and the cleanliness of the room, I would not stay here again.

Probably the best option in town but very basic

Kontum is a small regional town and we were told the hotel would be basic: the rooms were reasonably clean, air conditioning worked well, basic bathroom with small towels, lovely view to the river. We stayed one night and ate out. There are some surprisingly chique coffee/tea bars near the hotel. Main down sides: we heard the neighbors TV very loudly, breakfast was very poor, staff not very helpful
