Non-beach holidays on the sea coast of the eastern outskirts of Muine
In the second half of the St. Petersburg winter, suddenly plunge into the height of summer - what is not the dream of a cooler townsfolk? To realize the dream, the hotel booking portal Ostrovok was engaged. There bribed the option with a democratic-low price for a two-week catering holiday, ,All-inclusive, at the Charm Hon Rom Villas 3* On Buking his review score was 9.5, which is almost the maximum. Of course, doubts crept in then, but I had a hotel voucher on my hands, where this meal option, ollinclusive, was clearly sealed in the contract. Flight from Moscow 10 hours and booked for $62 on Kiwi three hour taxi transfer from Kam Ran airport went smoothly.
The hotel was located on the eastern outskirts of the town of Muinet, not getting 7 km to it (and 20 km to Fantiet). The property itself is indeed almost spotless. Beautiful manicured lawns with grass, palm trees, snow white three-storey buildings of 6 villas, with two hotel rooms on each floor, large swimming pool with very clean and warm water. Unfortunately, my doubts about the hotel reception were confirmed immediately, despite having a printed voucher from Ostrovka. The hotel manager replied to me with surprise that the hotel NEVER had a concept of food ,,All inclusive, the hotel offers only continental breakfasts (choice of eggs, pork or chicken noodle soup, fried rice, fried noodles, tea and coffee and some fruit. All! Moreover, if hotel guests suddenly want to buy dinner, then the manager should be informed in advance. And then he calls the only cook on the phone. And she's on her bike this evening and she comes and cooks you dinner, the rest of the time she's not in the hotel. The price for steamed shrimp, or fried mackerel in a tomato, or roasted pork (nothing else) is 260000 VND ($10) - five times the price at a cafe in Fantièt (49,000 VND). In general with the meals there is a full ,, , , In the hotel's surroundings for many kilometers up to Muine there are no cafes. There are only kiosks selling all kinds of bags and jars of dry noodles, sweet snacks and cookies, raw eggs and drinking water. In general, communication with ,, beach packages, in the hotel district you are guaranteed )). A taxi can be hailed on the Maxim taxi app. The fare is 110-150 VND to the centre of Muinet, 350-400 VND to Fantiet. When driving to Fantièt’s central supermarket called Lotta Markt, on the 4th floor the grocery store offers a large selection of fruits and containerized sets of all kinds of dishes at democratic prices. There are also tables for tourists, where these dishes can be eaten or taken with you to the hotel if you wish.
As I have already noticed, there are no claims on the grounds of the hotel itself, it really deserves high marks and reviews. Hotel rooms have everything you need (see photo). But the BEACH, as such, there is no bruising anywhere and no plan. A strip of fine, light yellow sand 70 metres wide along the ocean's edge is everywhere abundantly littered with household garbage, which carries a constantly stormy ocean with high waves and strong rebound currents. What garbage-cleaning saboteurs are, the local population doesn't know, and they never steam for such small things. Swimming in these waves and the rebound current can only be risked by suicide. Nobody swims. On the desert shore, only rare local shell miners can be found to produce building materials. And there's a lot of local private construction around the street. The ocean water is warm, +25 degrees, and the only safe thing to do there is go knee-deep into the water, jump and dodge the crashing rolling waves.
To sum up, if you need a classic BEACH break, you are not here. There is rather a near-beach vacation, with a stay near the hotel pool and walks on the sea coast along the edge of the sea.

Quiet, beautiful, calm
Lived here for a month. Quiet and peaceful place I wanted, new hotel, friendly owner, small price per room. Hotel near the sea, but far from the center of the muine, so rent a bike. I'll definitely be back next year)

A Hidden gem for foreign travelers in Vietnam
As someone who has stayed at numerous (branded) resorts and hotels across Asia, I can confidently say this is one of the best I’ve found—and impressively, it also offers great value!
(+) A small, charming, tropical-style resort—ideal for those seeking a peaceful and beautifully designed escape in Vietnam, far from the usual crowded hotel experience.
(+) Surrounded by lush greenery and filled with sunlight, it exudes a relaxed summer vibe. The spacious, airy layout feels both private and welcoming.
(+) Rooms are furnished with high-quality natural wood, blending local charm with modern comfort. I especially loved my room on the 3rd (top) floor, which received plenty of natural light and fresh breeze.
(+) Everything is new, creating an almost cinematic feel in every view.
(+) Just a 1-minute walk to a long, wide beach that, in my opinion, is more pleasant for daily visits than those in Mui Ne.
(+) The owner couple— hardworking, very hands-on—previously ran their own resort in Phu Quoc. I interacted with the wife briefly; she’s subtle, attentive, and truly service-minded. Their presence adds a layer of personal care and charm that's rare to find.
(–) The dining menu is still a work in progress (said to be completed by this autumn), though that wasn’t an issue for me as I enjoyed exploring Phan Thiet’s diverse food scene outside.
What makes this resort particularly appealing for foreign travelers is its peaceful atmosphere, intuitive layout, quite unique design, and the way it embraces Vietnam’s natural beauty while still offering international-standard comfort. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and recharge, use as a base to explore the area (by motorbike/car), or even settle in for a week to remote work—like I did.

Hotellet ligger på en stille vej, men det er lidt restauranter i nærheden. Vi var der uden for højsæsonen, så det føles lidt stille, man har brug for et transportmiddel til at komme rundt. Værelserne er fine med en fin balkon og poolen er god. Maden og servicen kunne være bedre.
